I have a couple of friends who grew up under those circumstances. They both have major issues in regards to forming intimate relationships.

And sadly they pass on their screwed up heads onto their offspring. No wonder there's so many democrats.

I can guarantee that the Buffett heirs are not concerned about estate tax. Estate taxes are paid by those to slow or ignorant to get to the right attorney. Same reason Kennedy and Rockefeller don't vote to abolish the estate tax; they don't pay much if any.

I have read your thread comments and this is what I think. Your friends were killed because of elitest attitudes of the seeming wealthy that may come with money. This however isn't a guarantee. I grew up and saw this in my home town as well. Because it was small and people knew each other the poor were aware of the actions of the rich. I also knew kids from seeming middle class homes with more net worth that the supposed rich. They can be okay with the proper enviroment. To me it all comes down to parenting not money. If you raise your kids right and can leave them money at the end this is the best of all possible worlds.

The best idea is to leave them lots of money, however, not until late 30's or early 40's. They can handle it at that age. And yes, it's about parenting.

What I saw when they were teens...when they got in trouble...Daddy got 'em out of it. So they had very few consequences for their actions. It's important kids learn to fight their own battles without this tool...what type of adults are they?

If kids are not raised when they're kids...a parent will be raising those kids the rest of a parents life.
