Stories like this are insignicant, imho. Anecdotes without context are useless. As an historian, it is my opinion that George Bush is the best president of my lifetime (last 65 years).
Worse than Carter?
The article says that in 2004 Bush increased his share of the vote among Southern women to 54% (which is phenomenal, considering that black women are over 30% of the female vote in several Southern states). Then the article claims that "many" Southern women are turning away from Bush, and gives as an example a liberal woman who claims to have voted for Bush in 2000 but not in 2004; if she already voted against Bush in 2004 (*against* the trend in the South), how can she speak for the 54% who voted for Bush that year? And given that Bush's 2004 increase in the Southern female vote took place largely in districts that are either heavily Republican or that vote Republican for the House but Democrat for Congress, I don't see how an alleged rollback of his 2004 female vote to 2000 levels will defeat GOP House candidates. This article is Democrat hype, pure and simple.
I would not waste a dime trying to reason with you because you have your own idiosyncratic and inpenetrable way of reasoning.
Frankly you irritate me more than the BDS anti-American leftists because you should know enough to take a stand for your country.
My reasoning is that married women have a vested interest in the well-being of their marriages and children whereas single ones tend to be fantasy-feminists and socialists. I was being partially facetious, but hey, it would solve a lot of problems.
I don't think you're a Dummicrat, but if you're not part of the solution by sittin on your hands, then YOU are part of the problem. If you don't vote, then IMHO then your opinion is worth as much as your vote...NOTHING!
Jimmy Carter - Worst President Ever
Okay, [grudgingly] I guess I'll forgive you. But only because married women are just naturally smarter [note I've not specified 'than whom'] ;o)
I know, I know, all you blind Bushbots are now gonna accuse me of being a Dummicrat plant but you're wrong as hell.
Yes, they will.
And yes, they are.
I've never understood blind obedience. It isn't a conservative trait. When our own disappoint us, we shouldn't let them off the hook just because we like the (R) after their names.
You're right you're a dummicrat.
MSM cheerleading for the dems as usual.
With the MSM being no different from the Nation these days, I am becoming increasing cynical about election polls.
That is why I contacted you and DJ about the House race polls. I trust you guys's analysis than the CNN pundits.
You're a conservative like I'm from Kyrghizstan.
Sooner? Like in Boomer Sooner? OU?
Dixie Belle ping
I am an unmarried Southern woman and to me Pres. Bush is the bomb. My friends have not waivered as well. I think the poll is liberal @rap as usual.
It's not a matter of "blind obedience". It's a matter of taking an adult viewpoint that the world is not perfect, nor are politicians, and recognizing that each election is a choice to be made. Not between a candidate and perfection, but between two candidates. One is closer to the ideal and one further from it. Refusing to make such a choice is like staying home on prom night because no girl in school meets your standards.
