They locked down the schools here. I drove over to my daughter's school and drove around, watching the sky. The policeman sitting in his squad car gave me a good look over until he recognized me.

At my kids school (catholic school) they let parents come get their kids if they wanted .. but they kept a low key as not to scare the kids .. they just said prayers

They also sent home a memo explaining they didn't go into details and left it to us parents to explain the details

At the public school the teachers had all the TV's on and the kids were freaking out because they didn't understand all that was going on

We're a public school system, but the teachers were great. The police are very protective of the kids. He probably would've tried to shoot down a plane.
