us v. them doesn't help us or them.

The Fla GOP needs to figure out where it wants to go. The Fla GOP sent congratulatory emails to Crist and to Tom Lee but they didn't send one to Katherine Harris.

I swear they hate women.

How would you know about that? Did someone at her campaign headquarters tell you this?

Good article. Mind if I use it as a point of discussion in my American Government class? I think my seniors could really wrap themselves around this one. They're mostly democrats.

Good op-ed and it nails a point that we should all remember come November 7th. Rush mentioned yesterday, in response to one of the "cut off your nose to spite your face" callers that the mistaken idea that teaching the GOP a lesson by staying home and giving Congress to the RATS led to 8 years of Bill Clinton. Now, in a war with people who want to kill us just because we don't worship a pedophile like they do, we can't afford to let the RATS regain power.

Left to the Democrats, they would withdraw on the war on terror, disarm us and promote Muslim presence in America. Add to that, erase our efforts against Roe vs. Wade, ramp up affirmative action for Hispanics, homos and Middle Easterners. The Democrats will owe favors to activists who want to considerably reduce the prison populations, which will nice that law abiding folks have been disarmed.

The local Democrats run the city schools her in this town which are full of drugs, gangs and violence. These conditions are looked at with a certain level of acceptance, which seems which Democrats are willing to do as long as they can stay in power..

From the article:

"...pay attention to NRA ratings and endorsements."

I just met with Arlen Specter last month. He's not up for reelection this year, but he is still bragging about being endorsed by the NRA. I could be mistaken, but I believe that he said that he was "A" rated.

Rated "A" or even an endorsement for a man who voted to ban weapons in the '93 Crime bill? He has said publicly that he would again vote for an 'assault weapons' ban if it came up in an anti-terrorism bill.

The GOA has recorded his gun votes and he scored an astonishly sorry rating of 55%. That's a failing grade on any test that I've ever seen.

Sorry, but when the NRA endorses a man like Specter -- despite whatever good they may produce -- I cannot take their ratings seriously.

For any PA residents, check out our voter's guide at www.foac-pac.org. Right now our primary guide is still up but it will soon be replaced with our general election guide. We divide the state into 6 regions. Click on your region to see how your candidates faired. Internally we have a score, but the recommendations are purely pass or fail. Either you are recommended or you are not. You will find a lot of races where there are no suitable candidates.

BTW, Santorum has a 64% from GOA -- also quite a lousy record for someone who claims to be pro gun. As of now, he will be rated as unsuitable because he has refused to help resolve some issues that are within his scope of authority to do. Even Arlen was smart enough to say that he would try to resolve them (in his effort to get Ricky reelected).

No, Arlen hasn't seen the light. He knows that if the GOP doesn't hold the Senate, he loses his chairmanship.

Exactly. The information that has come out in the last two weeks (British bomb plot, Armitage being the leaker and the media KNEW, information about the terror plots that have been thwarted in the US and the perfidy of those who don't support the war, etc.) should make all of us sit up and take notice. We simply cannot let democrats gain power. Period. They are dangerous and not serious about national defense.

The only democrat that should get a Republican vote is Joe Lieberman, and this is because we want to stick it to Lamont and Schlesinger doesn't have a chance. That is the ONLY democrat who should get a vote.

Well, if Zell Miller was running for office, I'd vote for him. I still get fired up when I think of his keynote speech for the GOP convention in '04. ;^)

A perfect handgun weighs nothing, ...

I'm not waiting for the perfect handgun. I'm waiting for the perfect holster, one which utilizes flat space technology!

... shoots around corners never hits innocent parties and cooks and cleans.

Glad you didn't say "cleans itself." I look forward to gun cleaning. It's great therapy.

Well, ok, you call it what you want and I'll call it what I want.
