There was only one thing truly astonishing about the revelation last week that Richard Armitage, Colin Powell's deputy at the State Department during George W. Bush's first term, was the source of Bob Novak's first column about Iraq war critic Ambassador Joe Wilson and his CIA agent wife, Valery Plame. That was Mr. Novak's subsequent description of the man who first "outed" Mrs. Plame's place of employment as "no partisan gunslinger."

So in the end, the whole thing was RINO treason.

A purge of back-stabbing careerists is long overdue at both CIA and the State Dept. How in hell can you run a foreign policy and a war when part of your team is working against you?
President Bush missed his chance to clean out the rats when he took office, and he's been paying for it ever since.

W is sometimes strikingly naive when it comes to dealing with people who don't support him.

So when are Armitage and Fitz going to be indicted???
Firtz knew the truth and still went after LIbby, Cheney and Rove in hopes of bringing down a sitting President in a time of war.
His actions were/are frivolous, dishonest, "malice aforethought" = Is not that a gross and criminal misuse of his office?
How many places did he go to before he finally got someone to grant him a grand jury???
Why is NOTHING being done to the real perps? It's okay to destroy the innocent, but when the truth comes out, the guilty get a free pass???

The rest of the editorial, dealing with how this has hurt the Administration's WOT (and endangered the Nation) and other offences this cabal has committed (such as the blocking of Bolton's nomination), were informative too.

"W needs to call the bug man to Foggy Bottom, pronto."That didn't work at the CIA (Porter Goss debacle) and it won't work at the State Department.
The left wing bureaucracy is now so entrenched normal solutions to the problem are useless. This particular disease has spread itself government wide and is going to require far more severe treatment to eradicate it.

I know. You can't blast government careerists out, once they've been there a few years.
