I like my amnesty plan!
Please call them INVADERS and don't compare them to people who are legal aliens!
IF you aid and abet CRIMINALS, you are a criminal!
President Bush has been great on most things except for our border.
He has been great on the war on terrorists.
But on the border he is a gross failure.
He acted fast and correct on the 3,000+ people murdered at the world trade center.
He ignores the many rapes, murders and robberies which might be larger than the murders and money loss at the world trade center.
More Americans are abducted on the border of Mexico than in Iraq!
Start building the fence.
It should be made a felony for Criminals who overstay their visas and Invaders.
I believe we should give amnesty to these poor CRIMINALS or INVADERS.
This should be a 2 week amnesty to get the heck out of our Country.
The ones who ignore this amnesty should be buried in a tent city jail and fined $10,000 or buried elsewhere.
All aiders and abettors of these CRIMINALS or INVADERS should get 1 year in a tent city jail and a $10,000 fine for each CRIMINAL aided.
Those in government should be the first ones charged.
"Even just from a purely cynical politically calculating perspective...I don't understand why one of the two major parties does not advocate a "get tough on illegal aliens" platform...a guaranteed winning political position IMO"
It is amazing. More than 70% of Americans support controlling our borders. Thats a tremendous number. You'd think politicians would be tripping over themselves to lead the charge on this issue, or any issue where the public was firmly in one camp.
Amazing when comparing CNN Lou Dobbs to Fox News Beltway Boys ..CNN wins hands down on being on the conservative / right side.
LOL!

"Perhaps the usual Squealers MIGHT explain why they are so desperate to propagandize for the DNC when it was the Democrat Senate that FILLIBUSTERED to block all the US House Republicans Border Enforcement provisions from being added to the Senate Immigration Bill?"
Maybe if president Bush threw his support behind the house bill instead of, at the very least, sounding like he would support the McCain-Reid-Kennedy senate plan in his speeches.
Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton are praising president Bush over his immigration plan. What does that say?
All just a bunch of hot air when you realize the topic is illegal immigration. You did know that was the topic, right?
It says nothing to people who are not listening.
Great list. Almost too long to read in one sitting!
If that really was the answer, we would not have the problem.
All previous attempts at regulating them has resulted in pushing them underground, where no regulation can touch them or affect their jobs.
It all sounds so simple, but it is not.
This leaves you with a hands on, direct enforcement approach to remove millions of people and their screaming kids, as the media gets every whine and cry of the resistance offered on tape and that of the hapless enforcement agents.
That ain't gonna happen..... It just isn't.
Bush has the right idea, as it is the only politically acceptable way of gaining control of the situation.
The alternative is what we have now.........zip-nada-nothing.....gridlock...paralysis...negative impacts on the party voters...
That's my view in a nutshell.
Basically, what you desire is not going to happen, and if the Dem's take the house, the borders will swing wide open so they can mine for new voters.
This is the choice and the reality of it.
Bush has the WRONG idea and it IS NOT acceptable.
You have a point there...
I have stopped all monetary contributions to the GOP and told'em straight up that when the GOP (and that indeed includes GWB), assumes a tough stand on ii, I will resume my contributions.
Whatever........
As have I. When I get phone calls from party hacks these days, they get a hell of an ear full.
Like a broken clock, even an idiot like Lou Dobbs can be right every so often.
Bears repeating. Cuts to the truth of our President's left-wing views on migration.
I wonder how much $$$ the GOP has lost in contributions nowadays...
Not that I'd like the Rats taking over, but I believe we have to make ourselves heard... before the elections too!
That's some list Johnnie.
Obviously if Bush & Co. can accomplish all that, then their failure to secure the border, post 9/11, is MORE intentional and profound than I first thought.
Tripling or quadrupling third-world migration is the right idea for pushing this country into the dustbin.
