Listen, the court made a ruling. Now the President has to act in accordance or be in violation of the law (for now.)
You need to wait until you hear what he has to say. To spin this as a "read my lips" moment is unfair and unbearably transparent. The President is not above the law...he is not a dictator.
the court has made no ruling regarding these particular prisoners, they are not at Gitmo right now.
I understand the court's ruling. That doesn't mean Bush should publicly capitulate. I was just hoping for more of a fight and maybe an appeal to congress during the stay... not just giving in.
