Saw a CSpan show with Couric and Schneider, they were in awe of some new, amazing reporter overseas who was reenergizing CBS' foreign coverage. Her name is Lara Logan.
The left's pissy and petty comments about the Taliban just go to show you how little the comprehend the problem. We are at war with extreme Islam and it's growing influence. That the Taliban have not gone away is no surprise to those of us who didn't vote for Clinton and Kerry.

The MSM is lying. The areas along the Pak/Afghan border have always been lawless and hard to control. What ole Lars should have said is that given the history of this area it is not a suprise that Taliban numbers raise and lower. As the Taliban attacks happen the allied and Afghan forces are killing or capturing a good number of them. These losses are very disheartening for most of the Taliban who are in it for the money and not religion,contrary to what their leaders say. Also because of normal tribal infighting not all local groups are pro-Taliban and some are hostile to the anti-government forces. But no you never see any of this in the MSM. One wonders if they might have an agenda to push and not the truth.

CBS sure seems to get a lot of "access" to the enemies of the United States. Saddam for example. I half expect an interview with Osama as an "October Surprise".
Well, Katie - you still suck, and so does the Taliban. So can CBS come up with something different soon? Maybe something that doesn't suck?
She's never been anywhere or done anything, and is no more educated than most of us, therefore she's obviously an expert about everything, everywhere, we are encouraged to believe, and a left wing puke in addition. Perfect anchorweasel for the MSM, be it PBS, CBS, NBC or ABC!
