According to Fox 35, Charlie Crist is the winner of the Republican Primary for Governor.
Time for us to get behind him.
SM
FL Right-to-Life endorsed Gallagher.
"Fiscal conservative" if it's true, might be enough for you, but it's not enough for me.
Maybe Jeb is playing ball with the FL GOP political machine.
Real conservatives endorsed Gallagher, like Dave Weldon and Senator Webster. On the other side of the coin, RINO McCain backed Crist.
Crist is a tree-hugger:
"Offshore drilling separates hopefuls
Gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist opposes rigs within 125 miles of Florida's coast, while Tom Gallagher supports the idea.
http://www.sptimes.com/2005/11/07/State/Offshore_drilling_sep.shtml"
Crist supports "Earned legalization" which is AMNESTY.
Also, Donald Trump had a fund raiser for Charlie Crist, the same Donald Trump who tried to take a woman's home away from her for one of his casinos. If Crist won, I'd be anxious if I were a home owner in Florida.
Florida GOP voters made a HUGE mistake. I hope some good will come from this when they realize their mistake, and research candidates better after this.
this via e-mail:
"The following data was published Sept.3, 06 St. Petersburg Times (Fla.) on the 2 Republican and 2 Democratic Candidates for FLA. GOVERNOR and the question on voting for or against AMNESTY:
In today's St. Petersburg Times, there was an article in which four main contenders for Florida Governor were asked a series of questions. I direct your attention to the two questions the paper asked the candidates about immigration:
State: 20 questions for the candidates for governor:
"IMMIGRATION
15. Do you support a federal proposal for illegal immigrants who learn English and pay fines and abide by the law to earn citizenship?
Jim Davis: Yes ------ Rod Smith: Yes ------ Charlie Crist: Yes ------ Tom Gallagher: No
16. Should we license illegal immigrants to drive?
Jim Davis: No ------ Rod Smith: Yes(with guest worker program). ------- Charlie Crist: Yes (in limited circumstances) ------ Tom Gallagher: No"
"That's Adam Putnam, the phenom Republican in Congress. He got elected when he was in his twenties. He could bring us all back together because he's a real conservative and there are no skeletons in his closet and it would be difficult for any 527 orgs to do a negative attack ad against him.
The big sugar attack ad destroyed Rod Smith and Tom Gallagher, the two smartest guys running for governor.
Note that it was illegal for Crist's friend to start a 527 org and to then donate over 1 million dollars to fund the attack ad against Gallagher that was patently false."
Thank for the info.
A businessperson told me that the sugar industry was for Crist because Crist wants to use SUGAR to make ethanol.
Follow the money.
"..Terri Bots.."
And the antilife bots have blind faith in MSM.
Who are the antilife bots?
Name a few.
The ones that attack the pro-lifers.
Next?
Some of them 'pro-lifers' are flying pretty loose with the facts, in fact, they make facts up at will.
Surely all sides deserve to be kept honest.
I'm a pro-lifer and I'm calling you disruptive.
It's no use arguing with you. You are trying extremely hard to pretend that you care about more than one issue, but you and Floriduhvoter are still pissed about Terri Schiavo and are (for some reason) blaming Crist. If Charlie Crist was an otherwise perfect conservative, you still wouldn't vote for him because in your mind he killed Terri.
Someone you don't approve of and will sit on your arse and whine about for the next few years.
Check out my post #461 with links, and then tell me that Crist is a conservative. You are no match for me.
Nighty night.
I agree.. Let's Roll !!
My italics tag didn't take, and I was agreeing with your post by saying the problem exists as long as someone tells me I have to vote "x" because if I don't...something bad will happen.
They have to earn votes, IMO.
What is an antilife bot? You sound like someone who just makes stuff up.
I guess the term "conservative" is in the eye of the beholder. Like I've said, Governor Bush has said repeatedly that Crist is a conservative, and I agree. I respect Bush's opinion a lot more than I respect yours.
What's "..Terri Bots.."?
pot meet kettle.
"It would appear that that endorsement wasn't very effective."
Sad, isn't it?
"I guess the term "conservative" is in the eye of the beholder. Like I've said, Governor Bush has said repeatedly that Crist is a conservative, and I agree. I respect Bush's opinion a lot more than I respect yours."
Perhaps you should respect your OWN opinion, and do your own research, as I did.
"Is it my truthyness?"
Truthyness?
