if there is any.
There is none. I don't know anything about this Florida race, but I do know that everyone is out to get her, and that, in of itself, is a reason for me to root for her.
It's a way of life with some folks.
Lots of folks down in Florida do not live in million dollar condos in Dade or nearby counties though.
Intresting to note all the primary voters for Republican Governor came up to over 750,000. The Democrats Primary voters are about 560,000. That would suggest the Democrat is in trouble in Florida
You and me both. I haven't understood the animus against her, but OTOH I'm not a Florida resident.
if there is any.
There isn't any...
Try this, in the general election, more than just crazy fundementalist wingnuts have the opportunity to vote. If you think the nut cases who voted for Harris are representative of Florida voters overall, your nuts. During the primary something like 10-20% of registered Republicans vote. So only a vocal minority. Add in independents and a few conservative Dems and you have a potential victory. Having Harris as the candidate will drive away all but those nuts who voted for her in the primary while motivating the Dems to come out in drove because "she stole the 2000 election".
"Let me get this straight...none of Harris' Republican opponents could beat her, yet somehow her winning means Nelson is going to have an easier time of winning? I'm missing the logic..."
The only logic is to get off your @ss and vote for Katherine!
Nothing would please me more than to see this lady pull this one out. Her coverage on this forum has been almost totally negative which I have never totally understood.
It's kin to the bunch that wants to dump Steele in Maryland because he "diss'd the prez".
Go Katherine!
It's not logical. It comes from the "knock Harris" syndrome that is so pervasive on Free Republic. I believe the moonbats are all in flight on this one. Republicans in Florida must get it together and unite behind their Republican candidate, Harris or quit bliovating on how bad the US Senate is in representing conservatives.
