All I've heard for the last two days here is how Bush is backing off and is intimidated.

I guess somebody forgot to tell him.

"Bush said al Qaeda's vision was to create a 'unified totalitarian Islamic state that can confront and eventually destroy the free world.'"

Islamic Economics - Author David Jonsson    "Islam’s ultimate goal is the creation of 'one world without borders under Islamic rule,' a totalitarian economic political theocracy based on Islamic law—Shariah law. The Islamic empire will not be limited to just the Spain-to-Indonesia region, for Islamists have a global vision that requires control over non-Muslim countries, also, and specifically the United States. Their universal ambitions certainly can be stopped, but first they must be understood and resisted. Only when the West, particularly the United States, realizes that the Islamists intend to replace the U.S. Constitution with the Qur’an—Shariah law—will it enter the final era of this war—the Final Jihad.

The issue being addressed: has there been or when will there be a penetration of the Western cultures and civilization that easily make takeover a fait accompli. The thesis is that the process is under way. What we need to fear is the dog that does not bark at night." [David J. Jonsson, author, Islamic Economics and the Final Jihad: The Muslim Brotherhood to the Leftist/Marxist - Islamist Alliance]

"The president has squandered the opportunity to unite the country and the world, instead he has divided both," he said.

Joe Biden, captain, ship of fools.

I have a feeling we're not going to be hearing any more of that nonsense about the "religion of peace" for a while.

All we had to do when we defeated Saddam was to ban Shari'a Law. Period. That is exactly what MacArthur would have done, in addition to executing folks like Al Sadr after a brief military hearing. But no, we had to send Paul "Pussy" Bremer in and be "sensitive". We had to give our troops ridiculous rules of engagement. Knock before you kick the door in. Are these soldiers or Avon ladies? I continue to bemoan to wussy era we live in, the lack of fury and hatred against our enemies and a determination to massacre them.

I was at the WTC seeing folks jumping out of the towers and hearing the awful noise when they hit. When I got home, what did I see on my TV? Nothing. Not what I witnessed. Not the horrible gory truth. Just sanitized bullshit so the people don't get "too angry" lest they firebomb a mosque. Then within a few days Bush goes and takes his shoes off in a D.C. mosque to proclaim the "religion of peace". Can you imagine FDR doing the same in a Shinto temple days after Pearl Harbor? And he was a liberal icon! We have become a nation which tolerates wimps as leaders, and we seem to have totally lost the righteous bloodlust which great empires must have to long survive.

What I want to know is how President Bush has divided us?

Wasn't it Durbin who called our soldiers Nazis and Pol Pot and Gulag guardians?

Wasn't it Biden who said that Bush has squandered every opportunity?

Wasn't it Reid who said Bush lied repeatedly?

Wasn't it Kerry who said he voted for the war before he voted against it?

Who is doing the dividing, AMERICA?

The facist democrats, that's who!

""The president has squandered the opportunity to unite the country and the world, instead he has divided both,"

Seems to me that Mohammad did that one when he divided the world between the Dar Al Islam and the Dar Al Harb..... There may well have been opportunities squandered - more than necessary, IMHO, due to PC -, but no war is ever "perfect".

Massachusetts Democratic Sen. John Kerry, the losing presidential candidate in 2004, responded that if Bush had killed bin Laden in late 2001, "he wouldn't have to quote this barbarian's words today."

But we won't mention Slick Willie's feckless inaction when we had the opportunity to put a bullet in OBL's brain.

Also, this is an indirect criticism of our fine military by the Vietnam vet who shot a kid in the back and threw his service medals at the White House (later retrieving them of course).
