Freepers, the talking points are that the war in Iraq has made Al Qaeda move to the region. The left pretends that AQ wasn't in Iraq before the war despite the facts that:

A) The Mainstream Media wrote dozens of articles in the 1990's about the world's alarm at the growing relationship between Saddam and Osama; and

B) The Clinton 1998 Justice Department's federal indictment of Osama mentions that Osama agrees not to attack Iraq in exchange for weapons development.

I urge all freepers so inclined to write a letter to Karl Rove and Tony Snow mentioning that it is vitally important for the president to take on the leftist lies about this matter.

I couldn't agree with your points more. I was talking to a friend today, arguing that it disgusts me that the White House doesn't come out against the Democrats talking points moe than they do. At least, Tony Snow has been letting them get away with less and less in the Gaggle and the Press Briefings. But still....... I think the President has this idea (mistaken is my humble opinion) that the facts will "will" out, that the American public will find out that he was right all along, and that he doesn't need to counter the Democrat taling oints, points by point.

But the truth is that the Democrats get their points out there, without ceasing, over and over and over, and without the White House countering them, the American public gets brain washed into thinking that the Democrats are right. Unfortunately, the President has to make his case, over and over and over again. It's the only way to counter the lies of the Left and I hope that he does more of what he did today - point by point, listing the things that Al Qaeda would like to do to us, and their agenda. He needs to say this more than once.

He needs to say it, over and over.

Repeatedly. He needs to make his case that he is doing what is required in the War on Terror. I hope he's learned the lesson that the truth just doesn't come out by itself; that he has to make the case before the American public, over and over.

I sound like a broken record, with the "over and over" but truthfully, it's what the Democrats do, and if the White House doesn't fight back the same way, I'm afraid the debate goes in favor of the Democrats just because of repetition.
