The UN will NEVER impose sanctions on Iran and Germany has already ruled out military force to curtail Iran's nuclear bomb program. More diplomacy is simply going to give Iran more time to make the bomb a fait accompli - and judging from Western reactions, they think they can get away with it.

"I am not going to allow this to happen," Bush said in a speech on terrorism. "And no future American president can allow it, either."He didn't say, I don't want them to have nukes or I wish that they would negotiate in good faith, he said, "I am NOT going to allow this to happen....."
Osama didn't believe him. The sadman didn't belive him. Khadafly believed him. Amadamadingdong will find out if GWB is a man of his word. I believe him.

What about his dealings with that part of the world gives you the sense that it's a "read my lips" moment (as you put it?)" "This part right here: "And no future American president can allow it, either."
