According to Chemical and Biologocal weapons site here are some information on Phosphorus Pentasulphide and where it is used:

"Phosphorus pentasulfide can be used to introduce a phosphorus bonded to a sulfur into an organic compound, such as V-type nerve agents including VX.

The most significant commercial use of phosphorus pentasulfide is in the manufacture of zinc dialkyldithiophosphates additives for high performance lubricants. It is also used in the manufacture of insecticides including chlorpyrifos and in the manufacture of thiophosphates used in mining for ore flotation."

Thanks for the response. I saw Marine_Uncle's response in reply 35 that essentially said the same thing.

If this were for either lubricants or insectisides I would think that would already have been known since those are legal items to manufacture.

Looks like the use of this was not dual.
