I am June Cleaver.
I stay at home with my 3 kids and homeschool them. I keep the house as clean as I possibly can and cook almost every day of the month. I don't send my kids off to school in the Fall and I don't get vacations. It's extremely hard some days and requires a lot of self-sacrifice.
I realize it's not for all women. It's a shame that it is not. I'm like some others here...I can't stand reading stories like this. In her case, it seems like a purely selfish move. She shouldn't have had children. Those poor babies!
It is only a sacrifice if you would really rather be doing something else.

You certainly are in the minority and I'm sure your kids will benefit.
Even when I grew up before widespread working mothers, few were June Cleaver. They weren't exactly Rosanne either but the Cleavers still represent an ideal that was extremely rarely seen in real life.
