British hospital introduces burka-style gown for Muslim patients

A hospital in northwest England has introduced a new surgical gown modelled on the burka, allowing female Muslim patients to cover themselves completely in line with their religious beliefs.

The blue "Inter-Faith Gown" is the first of its type in Britain and has been trialled at the Royal Preston Hospital. It will be available to those who want it from November 1.

Hospital bosses said the gown -- which covers the entire body from head to toe -- provides extra comfort and cover for patients undergoing medical procedures and whose culture or religion requires more modest attire.

That title makes no sense. How on earth can this hospital gown be inter faith?

Interfaith is defined as involving two or more religions (i.e., a Christian marries a Jew, it is an interfaith marriage).

This is political correctness unhinged. Call it a Muslim-Faith gown or an Islamic-Faith gown, but not interfaith.

The English patients should be allowed to have a large red cross (crusader style) on their gowns....after all...hospitals should be sensitive to their needs....in germany...this was tried with all Jews having to wear gowns with yellow stars!...this bruka idea is just pc crap...if they don't want to assimilate and wear the prescribed gowns to be treated..let them go back to some 3rd world arab hole for treatment and then have them stay there!
