I saw only the first few minutes of coverage on 9-11, as I had to drive to Atlanta for my husband's heart surgery. All my husband remembers of that day is waking up to a roomful of doctors and nurses watching TV.

I don't know if you heard this bit, but Brit Hume was just on talking about how he was sitting at his post with the Capitol Building behind him while hearing in his ear that a plane was coming up the Potomac at warp speed headed for it. He resolved to stay right where he was. His wife then came in to tell him to move and he gave his speech about staying at his post. LOL. They wanted him out of the way so they could get the shot if the plane actually hit.

If it were the truth it would be tough to face, but I know many folks who would consider themselves liberal and they would disagree with your remark. On top of everything else, it makes no sense. What do you mean by "we?" Do you mean "we" as in Americans? "We" as in conservatives? Republicans? And how do you love someone only when they are dead? If your remark is hyperbole or sarcasm you should state it.
I was almost late for a short day at work today because I couldn't pull myself away from a five year old Today program.
I know it is confusing when you come in on the middle of a conversation, #225 got it.
We have all talked often on FR about the world and liberals loving the US when we are vulnerable and victims as on 9/11, then their "love" is gone the moment we strike back.
