Chris Matthews has lost all credibility defending John Kerry. I almost can't believe my ears as Matthews says the insult was a joke making fun of stupid George Bush, not stupid soldiers, and Kerry just "mangled" the punchline.

LMAO! Demo strategist says this is a news cycle blip, I think it means Kerry is toast for 2008.

They age just going to go on denying reality until it whomps 'em upside the head again. I guess they'll say they didn't get their message out.

Just think this issue is going to end up being pivotal in us keeping the senate

I certainly hope so and with ads countering the Fox ad, people may finally learn the distinction between embryonic and adult stem cells.

BTW, Frank Luntz on H&C believes Kerry's statement may mobilize our base. As Sean pointedly mentioned, as the Democrat nominee in 2004, Kerry is the face of the party. His statements, coupled with those of Durbin and others in their party and the fact that no dem has come out to denounce what was said, may turn this election in our favor. Colmes' ridiculous defense of Kerry's "poor joke" and Michael Barone calling him on it, should help our cause further. I fully expect a press conference tomorrow morning from Reid and Pelosi but it may be too late.

Me thinks Kerry just handed us our October surprise!

If you're like me, you never watch ABC Nightly News with Charlie Gibson. Well, for goodness sake don't miss last night's "Kerry v Bush" video segment by Jake Tapper.

Watch it here:

Watching CBS Evening News with Katie was good too, especially if you skip forward to also watch her interview former Clinton/Kerry mouthpiece, Mike McCurry and former Bush spokeswoman, Nicole Wallace. (Nicole didn't let McCurry get away with saying "Kerry had apologized". )

(I thought it a good exercise to watch what info most people would be getting tonight)

Kerry is on with Imus. He's spent 35 years of his life "fighting for veterans." It's all the fault of the Bush White House. He's coming back to DC today because he doesn't want to be a distraction. LOL. Botched joke, botched joke, botched joke.

I have news for Kerry, it wasn't the White House doing any twisting of words, the American public was up in arms long before the White House folks were having their first cup of coffee.

Kerry says he was telling the truth about SE Asia. "This is Swift Boat stuff all over again." Imus brings up McCain. Kerry says he's a cheerleader for a policy that is not correct. Says they are attacking him because what he is saying is true. Imus asks if he's going to Tennessee for Ford. Kerry says no. Imus says thank you, I really need that one.

I hope everyone is listening to Kerry on Imus! He says he left out one word. "us" he left off "us"

Now he says he did apologize. After he said yesterday right off the bat, "I will not apologize". He's not spinning, he's lying!!

He says he's going back to Washington today so he won't detract from campaigns, So, does that mean he's cancelling his Casey event too??? LOL

Imus says again, "why not apologize?" Kerry says he did.

Imus asks about his other comments that have been anti-military. Kerrry says I never said other derogatory remarks, I simply told the truth.

on and on, Kerry accuses Rumsfeld, and Bush of swift boating him. he goes after the MSM too, he says they should be going after the administration.

"I'm sorry John McCain said what he said". John McCain has been an administration cheerleader, Kerry says. "they go after you, that's what they're doing to me".

Imus asks. "YOu're not going to TN for Harold Ford are you?" You can't mess this up, he says. Too bad Imus didn't ask if he was cancelling his PA appearance for Casey.

Imus begs, begs Kerry to shut up.

I'm glad I listened to Imus this morning. First Sen. Santorum showed us why he should be reelected. Then Imus kept advising Sen. Kerry to "just shut up". Apparently Sen. Kerry wasn't listening. He came on for an unannounced interview. He wasn't taking Imus's advice right up till the end when Imus basically hung up on him.

At one point during the interview he said he was for more troops in Iraq and later he said he was against it.

Apparently Charles was pulling his hair out off camera because after the interview he basically said "he still doesn't get it".

Kerry made it sound like he was never going to be going to Tennessee to campaign for Ford Jr. I believe Ford Jr. said he was.

Santorum stated that Kerry was on his way to campaign for his opponent today. Wonder if that is being canceled also? I hope not.

He did say that he is heading back to DC to fight this thing.LOLOL. Such a brave fellow. I think the vets and other pro-American, pro-military citizens were planning to show up at these venues and the candidates do NOT want that.
