I think they're waiting to hear if that's what the family, esp. Terri Irwin, wants. I'm not really familiar with Irwin's wife, haven't seen her nearly as much on TV, so it's kind of hard to say if she would agree to have a very public funeral.
I'm just hoping against hope that the media has the decency to leave her alone till she's ready to talk.
