Howard Dean, Segolene Royal To Attend Spanish Socialist Congress

MADRID, Sept 4, 2006 (AFP) - US Democratic Party chief Howard Dean and possible French Socialist presidential candidate Segolene Royal will attend a conference organised by Spain's ruling Socialists in mid-September.

It will be the first time that the head of the Democrats will attend such a conference, Jose Blanco of the Socialist (PSOE) party said.

Dean, a vocal opponent of the US invasion of Iraq, serves as chairman of the Democratic National Committee and ran to be the party's presidential nominee in 2004, losing the candidacy to John Kerry.

If the DNC wasn't in such a fund raising hell hole, he wouldn't have to go begging for help from EU Socialists. I'm sure they will work out who gets more money, the DNC or FARC.

The PSOE is the most anti-American socialist party in Europe. PSOE leader and Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero publicly insulted the American flag during his first month in office. Breaking protocol, he refused to stand when the flag passed in a review. "It's not my flag", he snarled.

The PSOE IS also ANTI-Israel and anti-Semitic. It embraces Castro and Chaves, sharing the visceral anti-Yankee sentiments of these two tyrants.Domestically the PSOE has introduced homosexual marriage and summarily fired government officials who felt their religious beliefs do not allow them to perform civil ceremonies marrying people of the same sex.

While it is true that PSOE'S foreign and domestic priorities are shared by many modern Democrats, one would have thought Party grownups would have restrained Dean. The MSM, of course, will not tell Americans what the PSOE is all about. But There are dozens of Zapatero anti-US statements on record, beginning with the flag incident. If Dean goes ahead with this trip the Republicans need campaign adds juxtaposing the Spanish and American Socialist parties. No patriotic American should consort with America's enemies. PSOE is an enemy of the USA.
