JoongAng Ilbo, a major S. Korean daily, reports that Kim Jong-il's special train is at Shinuiju, as of Sept. 4, right across Chinese border. It says that the train may cross Yalu River in early morning of Sept. 5 and enter China.

From examining satellite photo evidence, many believe that it was not a dynamite explosion. Some highly potent material like rocket fuel. Some speculate that N. Koreans tried to enhance missile fuel with adding extra chemicals. Would give missile much powerful propulsion, but highly unstable. Somebody lighted it up when Kim was about to pass by, as the story goes.

I would suppose that armoured trains would have been airtight since ... Oh .. World War I gas attacks maybe ?

That is an issue. To bad our HUMINT is so bad after the 'Rats hijacked the CIA and state department. Of course we could try to destroy both, but would have to be sure he was on board.
