It's not a good party unless there's one guy in the kitchen arguing some inane point that is obvious to everyone else but he thinks is really profound :~)
Just call me Dr. Obvious.
Still, this is one of those things where everyone pretends to be so shocked that someone who put themselves in danger for their entertainment and then, oh unfair surprise, they actually get killed. Then everyone pretends it was all so unexpected.
It's all a little too cozy an arrangement.

Phooey.... he did crazy stuff in life, and I don't think anyone is ~really~ surprised a critter got him. But it's still a loss for all who knew him, or at least felt we did, when he's had his face so close to our TV screen all these years.
Quit being such a curmudgeon. I don't think anyone needs the lecture.

No one is pretending it's unexpected, we actually are shocked this happened! He knew his limits with creatures he interacted with. Sorry you only see negativity in a loss to everyone who admired him for what he did & taught us!

You must be a barrel of laughs at a party or any other kind of gathering. Hope I'm never at one of them.

Unlike you!.... Steve Irwin lived to inform all of us about the dangers the wildlife poses to all of us. You on the other hand are a miserable malcontent that contributes absolutely NOTHING and complains about everything. And your posting history backs me up...
Have a rotten life, you've earned it!

Quit being a dipstick. Sure, Irwin did (and filmed) dangerous stuff for a living, but this is something that can happen to any diver--and a recreational scuba dive is safer than driving to the nearest conveninece store--and even occasionally happens to swimmers.
If you get any further urges to screw up the thread about the just-now-getting-cold guy with the two young children, feel free to log off an go write about them in your diary.with your whi

Irwin survived nasty encounters with everything from Fresh water crocs, to snakes, for which we lack an anti-venom.
To see him killed bya small, uneveloved creature, which many of us have encountered is shocking.
I got woken up with this information, and my first response, was to think that he pissed off the wrong croc.
