Never mind, I just looked up stoat on wikepedia. I'd never heard of it before. Thanks for introducing me.
Anybody watch Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet?

Sorry, I thought that you were referring to the tigers   :-)

You're quite welcome  :-)  We stoats try to be just a bit less 'weasly' than some of our brethren    :-)

I have seen some meerkat programs but probably not that one because I don't get cable at the stoat cave.  They are indeed cute and I love the way they stand up and lookout for trouble...great little creatures!

> a tiger is the most beautiful of big cats.

I've heard that tigers are more like domestic cats than any of the other big cats.

Like someone once said, if you wake up one day and your dog is suddenly 500lbs, he will still be your best friend.

Your cat, on the other hand, might eat you.

Truly one of God's greatest creations. (a ways down the list from Ladies, of course, who are His supreme achievement).

I'm not too sure I agree... And with some of the wimmin I've dated, I'd have to say that it would have been safer to play with the tiger cubs, WITH mamma around!

I think that in this case we may be dealing with a difference of definition....I was very careful to use the term Ladies in my earlier post, and I notice that you use the term Wimmen, and so we actually are most likely not disagreeing at all.  I would suggest that a true Lady is a woman who at least aspires toward achieving a high level of class, femininity and cultural dignity.  Just as a true Gentleman can be defined as having certain desirable masculine and cultural attributes which sets him apart in a positive way from the slobs, the criminals and the oafs, a Lady is considerably more, and better, than a generic female who has no interest in bettering herself or being proud of her femininity and presenting herself as such.

An example could be had in a comparison of our wonderful First Lady, Laura Bush, and the hideous Teresa Heinz ("Shove it!") Kerry.  Mrs. Bush, even before the Presidential elections, was a Lady in every sense of the word in terms of her demeanor and the values that she embraced.  Mrs. Kerry, on the other hand, could hardly be said to evoke the title of "Lady" in any coherent person's definition.

That being said, I wholeheartedly agree that there are indeed lots of mere Wimmen out there who are only vipers in the guise of a female human and should be avoided at all costs by any Gentleman who values his life, his bank account and his sanity.  I have met more than my fair share and I am sorry to hear that you have as well.  For me at least, having had experiences with the Worst gives me a profound appreciation of the Best, and that is the basis for my earlier post.

Thank you for the posting.

I'm delighted that you enjoyed it!  Hopefully you might have an opportunity to see them 'live' on the webcam at some point, and be sure to download the video clip from the link so very kindly provided by  Amos the Prophet at post #17....it redefines 'cuteness' and is something that you're going to want to forward to your friends   :-)

I hope that she does, and while she is there she may wish to visit the nearby Catoctin Mountain Zoological Park that Amos the Prophet graciously told us about in posts #14 and #17...those albino tiger cubs look adorable as well.   :-)

Aww, they're sooo cute! I wish I could have one, but it would probably eat me when it got a little bigger. LOL
