Desperate to hold on to Congress amid declining polls, enveloping scandals and the deeply unpopular Iraq war, Republicans are trying a new tactic in 2006.
They are running as Democrats.
Around the U.S., suspiciously recent converts are showing up as Democrats in races for the House and the Senate.

Havne't the latest polls shown the GOP gaining ground?
To: mainepatsfan
Yes and internal GOP polling shows high enthusiam to vote in large numbers.
We will see many news articles by the donks and their MSM cohorts that will say doom and gloom for the GOP to hurt morale, so republicans stay home. They do it every time and think we are too stupid to catch on.

I'm kind of hoping the Dem voters believe it so much some of them stay home because they think it's in the bag.

Haven't the latest polls shown the GOP gaining ground?Liberals always use the worst poll numbers for Republicans they can find--no matter how out-of-date the information is.

This is pure drivel. The only Republican I know that's running as a lib is Schwarzenegger. All the moderate Republicans have been or will be defeated in the primaries.

Havne't the latest polls shown the GOP gaining ground?Yes, they have. That is the reason for the recent spate of articles like this..

Let's not forget the fraudulent exit polling on election day 2004 that projected a Kerry win. Oh it was sweet to see the expressions on the faces of the MSM broadcasters change as the night went on.

I always doubt people whom say they were a republican but saw the light and switched to the donks. Just like former 4 year stint big mouth Larry Johnson, current member of the rogue cia groups VIPS, that likes to say he is a registered republican and Chrissy Mathews saying everyone knows he has been an independent for 20 years. Okay........

Jim Webb ping, kinda. Webb's book "Born Fighting" is such an indictment of the Vietnam anti-war movement, and I don't see how it is possible that the same person who wrote the words in that book could now be running the campaign he is running.
What a huge disappointment Webb is to those of us who were introduced to him through "Born Fighting." Those who remember him from the Reagan era, though, seem to think this is all perfectly in style.

Right. If we hear the MSM report that the Dems chances of retaking the House are 50/50 we know they're in big trouble.
To: cardinal4
You're right. They're have been a rash of them this week after the new numbers came out. They need to shore up that conventional wisdom.
