Bulk Business Mail pays for a lot of salaries. And it keeps down the cost of First Class Mail, also. We should just accept the "junk mail" in our mailboxes as part of mail delivery at low cost.

In my medium size office we take in about $70,000,000 in annual revenue from bulk business mail using 12 BMEU clerks.
Those 12 clerks bring in 60% of the total revenue for our post office, which includes 10 delivery stations/branches/annexes and 3 processing plants.
Another way of looking at it is that each of those 12 BMEU clerks brings in revenue which provides for the salaries of about 100 other Postal employees.
