But from the little I do know.....isn't it now time to arrest Fitzgerald? Or at the very least, shouldn't like....5 people be dropping civil suits on him in the next week or two for all this?
Heh, actually no.
The "Wilsons" have civil suits against Libby and Rove, and were asked this week if they were going to add Armitage to their case and they replied "no"
There is lots of discussion about this on the Sunday Morning Talk Show thread here:

It is enough that his career ends here. Fitzgerald was exceedingly ambitious above all. He was planning to use this trial as a base to run for the Senate. Now he will never get elected dog catcher unless he holds his nose and joins the Soros-Kos-Sheehan web of lies. His name is now mud in respectable circles.
Thanks.
It appears at the end of the video Juan Williams is making up more Plame stories!
Yes, those things should happen (but they won't). Also the MSM, which is constantly braying that people should be apologizing for things, should apologize to President Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and Scooter Libby for hyping this pack of lies. But guess what? They won't. They'll just go on to the next pack of lies.
Incidentally, I couldn't see this video. It appears you have to buy some new service to do so and I ain't gonna do that.
Bah.. stupid tiny pic cut off the last part of the interview. Thats what I get for trying a new site.
Going to UL the again to youtube
Uploading replacement video to youtube, will PM mod to try to swap original post.
Give me 5min if you want to wait to just watch the full thing.
Sorry about that.
Yes, Juan appeared to imply that it's still Libby's fault if it was a VP's office request that created a State Dept memo that mentioned Wilson's wife and Armitage read it. I could not believe Juan was trying to make that case. It was funny...and sad. Too bad the video ended at that point so I couldn't watch Brit smack Juan down.
Oh, he's still loved over at DU. They're still expecting Fitzmas, except now they're speculating he's going to indict Cheney. For what? Who knows?
I realize that you specified respectable circles. So my post is moot.
Also, what was Attorney General Ashcroft thinking? Did he actually appoint a special counsel before he knew Armitage was the leaker? All he had to do was ask the FBI who reports to him.
This is the most screwed up effort designed to bring down a sitting President. Novak, Fitzgerald have to go. Now I understand why Ashcroft went. People have seen their reputations and savings destroyed to please a witch hunt.
It should be stressed that Armitage could talk any time. Anyone can talk about their own testimony before a Grand Jury. He could have easily fessed up early and saved everyone a problem. Ditto for Fitzgerald and Ashcroft. Never hear of Ashcroft any more. He is probably still having an internal debate as to orange versus red warning.
Thanks you so much for posting that video. It's always the best part of the show. Juan Williams is still an idiot. I see that Elizabeth Bumiller is too. I know who Juan's primary employer is--who does Eliz. work for? [NYT? WaPo? LA Times?]
Maybe the defendants in the Wilson suit should file a cross-claim against Armitage. Cross-claims are filed to bring in 3rd parties who may have liability to the plaintiff. If Plame's case is that she suffered from being outed to the press, the person who has culpability for that is Armitage. He should be brought in.
"It is enough that his career ends here."
Why should he be let off the hook. It appears he knew what he was doing. He should be prosecuted for malicious prosecution and departure.
i refer all to the article below where the great levin calls out schmuckie:

Elizabeth Bumiller is apparently a liar/spinner and Hater of GW and gets paid by the NY Slimes for her lies, spins and drive by character shooting of GW.
