To the average American, Hezbollah and Israel mean very little. There half a world away, and they couldn't care less. In fact, they can't understand why we are so concerned about dangers in the Middle East while border security isn't much better than it was before 9/11.

To win the GOP needs to address "hot button" issues of the average American, something it has not done well.
