A number of old wise PA Freepers told me about 8 months ago that Casey would lead in the polls right up to the point he had to open his mouth. I think Casey sliminess is why Santorum has pretty much closed the gap in the polls despite being double digits behind at one point.

After seeing the two of them together, I can't believe Rick is losing by double digits to Casey. Do you know if they are going to debate on TV soon??

:)

Well, I don't live in PA anymore, but I kept saying that. Casey is a theory to most PA voters. They remember Casey, Sr. with fondness and are projecting his good qualities onto his son.

I am waiting with bated breath to see the next polls. This may be on a little-watched Sunday show, but I think Santorums numbers will continue to climb. There's a reason Casey hasn't been actually campaigning. Note also that Casey is in lockstep with the moonbats. The guy is supposed to be a pro-life moderate. A genuine moderate. I can't see how he can even pretend to have the pro-life facade, except as a cynical political ploy.

The people of PA really want a "reasonable moderate" to send to the Senate. This guy is not going to fit the bill. The only issue he is not lockstep moonbat on is abortion. And people are going to start asking for details on his views. Wait until he has to start answering those questions.

I think Casey's people will try to shove him back into the shell, but now Santorum will have the upper hand and will call him out.

If Casey has to go public, he's going to make gaffes and gaffes will kill a challenger to an incumbent every time.
