Yikes, I drive there whenever I fly out and then park in one of the cheaper lots and take one of the buses to the departing terminal. By danger, are you referring to the drive there or around the area??

You're better off leaving your car at home and taking a shuttle van to the airport. You save a bundle on parking fees and you don't have to remember where you left the car when you return home. And yeah - driving around the airport terminal circle is not my idea of a good time. Too much risk of an accident at LAX.
