If by "Conservative justices" you mean guys like Alito, then you're right. I don't. If you want to talk about Janice Rogers Brown, then maybe we can agree, but I don't see Bush placing her any higher than she already is.

Immigration reform

I am very much in favor of immigration reform. Just not the same kind you are in favor of.

fighting Terrorists

This is the first time that fighting terrorists has come up between us. I am in favor of it, but that doesn't mean that I support everything that is being done in the name of fighting terrorism.

Granted, this board has become a lot more authoritarian with the Bush administration in charge, but there are still quite a few libertarians and libertarianish conservatives around.

I didn't expect you to be concerned about our religion and language

As I told you already, "we" don't have *a* religion. "We" have many religions. Too many to count. As for language, there is no problem there. Contrary to the nutjobbery coming out of the aforementioned publications, Mexican immigrants are assimilating about as well as previous waves of immigrants (all of whom had the same accusations thrown at them).

Hardly. They do good work on a few issues and have serious problems on others. I could take them or leave them.

Bush cut interest rates to a 40 year low, and then they were used to prevent a burnout because the economy was getting too hot. Now they are not changing.
Taxes were cut
We were attacked, so Wartime uncertainty was created, but you probably believe Bush is the cause of 911.
And as for Spending, yes Bush hasn't helped

Conclusion: Bush has directly helped the economy 2 out of 4 ways, he has hurt it 1 out of 4 ways, and the terrorists have hurt it and Bush has tried to mend it 1 out of 4 ways. Therefore Bush has done a good job 3/4 times on the economy. Give him his due.

As for religion, your belief that the ACLU is a force for good says it all. They are superseeding the Government's precedent (not Constitutional right) of the seperation of Church and State, to the point now that religion is being persecuted against. We see it every Christmas, We see it with the Pledge of Allegiance, and We see it with War Memorials.

And by the way, there is nothing wrong with a mutlitude of faiths in the US.

As for the rest:
You are the first person I have met here that was disappointed by Alito himself. You are the first person I have met here that supports Amnesty. You are the first person I have met here that does not support fighting the terrorists with all possible resources. You are the first person I have met here that doesn't support making English our national language.

And I hope you are the last.

This is a Conservative board, and I hope it stays that way.
