Townhall ^ | 09/02/06 | Robert Novak

Lifetime Democratic contributors have made good on their threat to stop giving money to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) so long as Howard Dean is its chairman. Some of the party's longtime money men warned that would happen when Dean took over the DNC following the 2004 elections. Lower contributions, combined with Dean's heavy spending, have resulted in the most recent cash-on-hand report by the DNC of $11.3 million, compared with $43.6 million at the Republican National Committee.

The klintonoids have their own money raising operation. They've completely by passed the screamer

But the clinton dollars come with at big price tag... support Hillary for President. Lots of Democrats don't want to do that.

Exactly, they are trying to have it both ways across a huge divide. And Rahm Emmanual was complaining about Dean not giving enough money to the D efforts in the House.

If the DHEC (or whatever they call themselves) doesn't win in nov, then emmanual is covering his posterior when Dean whines about spending money in all of the districts. emmanual wants focused money from Dean, but Dean's money wants district by district funding, in every district.

so even if the outraises republicans by 1.5 to one for instance, it won't matter one side of the canoe is rowing one direction and the other side is rowing in a different direction

Yep! That's the way Hillary planned it. She doesn't have to rely on the DNC to give her any support .. her power player is SOROS; who has hired some of Hillary's friends.

You understand this perfectly. The story is designed to make republicans think they don't have to work so hard raising money because the dems don't have much money.

Anyone falling into this trap is not paying attention.

Every single story in the media from now until election day is meant to suppress republican turnout and help the dems win.

Yes. Suppressing GOP turnout, or making GOP voters feel like they could/should vote against the "RINOs" that so many have been displeased with.

Taking money and votes away from GOP candidates is as important to them as getting votes for the Dems.
