The professional complainers in the Florida media and the "oppressed" classes in the state who cry everytime FPL has an outage or an increase in rates probably will ingore this good news. I thought it was worthwhile.

If I can figure out a way to make my generator run off of flatulence, I'll tell FPL where to stick it for all the time I spent without power during Katrina, and Wilma as well as the rate hike they got to pay for the power they didn't supply me with for weeks after wards.
OK a small rant, so when are they going to lower the rate that's paying for all the repairs, my wife is ready to shut down the power during the day so we can afford electricity

Of course this follows a 25% increase in 2006. That projected 2% represents an effective increase over 2005 of 23.2% We can expect to see increases in 2007 to offset the proposed reduction.

F.P.L. Raises our rates, lowers the amount it spends on maintaining it's own lines then raises its rates when the lines fail in storms. Oh yeah they also build a TajMahal for its corporate headquaters in North Palm Beach then vote a large bonus for the higher ups. F.P.L. while making bucks for its shareholders still sucks.
