I'm with you on this! What the hell is an army investigator doing recommending the death penalty in an ongoing case? Investigators gather facts and present them to the Court-Martial Convening Authority, in this case a General Officer, I'm sure. Next there should be an Artcle 34 Hearing to determine if the charges are valid and if so, the accused soldiers should be bound over for trial. If found guilty of the charges, the military judge will make determination in the penalty phase of the trial and based on the Articles of the UCMJ, whether the guilty soldiers' infractions warrant the death penalty. Any military lawyers out there? This is crazy!

What the hell is a United States CONgressman doing declaring that Marines are guilty of "killing innocent civilians in cold blood" before an investigation was complete? Also, declaring there "was no IED attack" "there was no fire fight" like he was an eyewitness, even before an investigation was complete.

Folks need to wake the hell up and watch what is going on and who the perps are.
We need to begin connecting the dots and quit wasting time condemning and trying our troops before an investigation, hearing or trial has been concluded.
