Halal (حلال, ḥalāl, halaal) is an Arabic term meaning "permissible". In the English language it most frequently refers to food that is permissible according to Islamic law. I had look it up.

Yeah, Bert. I knew that. I was laughing about the "London halal Chinese" phrase. English Imperialism bringing them a restaurant into their capitol of arab and Chinese compbinations. Not just a halal Islamic London establishment. Not just a Chinese food place.... But a London halal Chinese place. With what, melting pot-stickers? Kung Pao Falafel? Washed down with an alcohol-free Tsing Tao Best Bitter?
