A few years ago we were without power for a week and they managed to survive with a generator, lots of food, DVDs, and helping out neighbors. Did I mention they missed school as well? They didn't mind missing school for it. LOL!

Extended power outage is surely an adventure.
We usually get nailed for a two or three day one a couple times a year when the hurricanes blow in.
Last year we were out for two weeks, then again with Katrina about three and a half weeks.
Feeding the generators gets EXPENSIVE and difficult at 10 gallons a day!
