'Abducted' girl says she wanted to leave Scotland
(Filed: 01/09/2006)
A 12-year-old girl taken to Pakistan by her father without her mother's knowledge has spoken out for the first time, insisting that she went of her own free will.
Louise Campbell had appealed for her daughter's return this week
Molly Campbell disappeared from her home in the Western Isles on Friday amid fears that she had been abducted.
But today she told a British MP that she had gone voluntarily and planned to stay in Pakistan.
She also spoke on the phone to her mother in Stornoway for 10 minutes.
The girl later spoke at a press conference in Lahore and dismissed fears that she was being forced into a marriage in Pakistan.
A police hunt was launched after Molly was picked up in Stornoway by her sister Tahmina, 18, and met her father, Sajed Ahmed Rana, 45, in Glasgow before flying to Lahore.
Her mother Louise Campbell, 38, made an emotional appeal for the return of her "little girl" earlier this week.
Mr Sarwar, Glasgow Central Labour MP and a family friend, arrived in Pakistan this morning and spoke to the schoolgirl and her father.
He said: "There is no question of forced marriage and Molly has told her mother that. Molly and her mother have exchanged numbers and her father has made it clear that if Molly wants to go back to the UK she can come home with me.
"But she does not want to go home. She and the family would love her mother to come here to Pakistan and stay with them."
Just as freely as converting at the point of a gun. (What was this Girl's mother thinking when she hooked up with that Muzzie? What?)
"Lie or Die" as they say...
My wife's niece, college girl with 4.0 average, has been dating very pleasant polite and well spoken Mohammedans for 3 years. She is drawn only to them. She cannot be convinced that they are anything but gentlemen with the highest respect for women. I suspect she will marry the current one and find herself in sheets in Egypt. I will have no sympathy for her and will not participate in or encourage efforts to get her back. She is intelligent and educated and getting her back would just set her off on another masochistic path of some sort. She is making her own hell while she has the knowledge to avoid it. She knows the evidence of others caught up in the situation including a recent classmate but she thinks it is not relevant to her. She is hopeless. Her degree will brighten the intellectual atmosphere in the harem, I suppose.
Needs to be corrected:
insisting that she went of her own free will because she didn't want her throat slit.
There...
Fixed it...
Women desperate enough to marrry a Muslim man should ALWAYS be prepared for the worst, starting with the ceremony. The road to personal perdition will be downhill all the way, but the subversion, brainwashing and removal of children is just about the worst part.
If you haven't already, you might try to see that a copy of
"Not Without My Daughter" falls into her hands.
But you're probably right. As Churchill once said about "a notion
so bankrupt that only an intellectual would consider it"...she's
probably a hopeless sucker for the path she's choosing.

A schoolgirl at the centre of a runaway case who was thought to have been abducted by her father said yesterday that it was her decision to flee to Pakistan.
Molly Campbell, 12, speaking in Lahore a week after disappearing from her school in the Western Isles, added that she was very happy and would like to stay there "forever".
Flanked by her sister and father, she remained calm as she answered questions in a distinct Scottish accent. She also insisted that her name was no longer Molly, and that she would prefer to be addressed by her Islamic name of Misbah.
The schoolgirl said that although she loved her mother who had no idea that she was about to fly to Pakistan when she set off for school last Friday she had no intention of returning home.
Molly smiled her way through the ordeal of facing the press, and at one point rested her head on her father's shoulder. Her relaxed appearance belied claims that she was about to have an arranged marriage.
She sparked a manhunt involving Interpol after disappearing from Stornoway in the company of her 18-year-old sister Tahmina, who lives in Pakistan.
The girls flew to Glasgow where they met their father, Sajed Ahmed Rana, 45, then boarded a flight to Lahore. According to Molly's grandmother, she had been abducted and would be the subject of an arranged marriage with a 25-year-old man.
But this week, friends of her father, a former market trader and property owner in Glasgow, told another side of the story, claiming that she had begged to go to Pakistan to be with her sister and her brother Adam.
Molly seemed unperturbed by the potential culture shock of swapping the staunchly Presbyterian community of Stornoway (pop 5,600) for the teeming second city of Pakistan (pop 7,000,000).
She offered her own version of events after the Labour MP Mohammad Sarwar flew to Pakistan to act as a mediator.
"It was my own choice," she said. "My sister came to see me and I asked her, can I go with her, because I was not allowed to see my family. I just went with my sister. I am with my dad, I haven't seen him for a year and a half. I am living with him. My mum didn't let me see my dad. I am enjoying it."
Asked if she would like to stay in Pakistan or return to Britain, she added: "I would like to stay here in Pakistan for ever. And my name isn't Molly, it is Misbah.
"I knew that my mum would miss me, but I miss my family. It was hard to not see my family and I had to live with my mum and I wanted to live with my family."
She said she had spoken to her mother by telephone on Thursday and told her that she loved her and missed her, but was happy in Pakistan. There was no talk of her return to Britain.
Last week, Louise Campbell, 38, who lives with her boyfriend in the Western Isles and gave birth to a daughter eight weeks ago, appealed to Molly to come home.
Miss Campbell, who took her boyfriend's surname but is not married, had four children with Mr Rana after meeting him in Glasgow as a teenager. Following their divorce five years ago, three of the children stayed with him, while Molly, after a brief period in Pakistan, stayed with her mother.
Yesterday, her family in Pakistan said they would provide her with a telephone and a computer to let her keep in touch with her mother, and said that Miss Campbell was welcome to Pakistan if she wanted to see her daughter.
Mr Sarwar, who has known the girl's father for more than 15 years, said it was now vital for the family to "build up trust", but added that he would not be bringing Molly home.
Mr Rana told the press conference that he was leaving the decision to his daughter, adding: "It is up to her. If she wants to go back, Mr Sarwar can take her back now."
Mr Rana, who plans to seek guardianship of his daughter in Pakistan, also claimed that his identity "as a Muslim and a Pakistani" was partly responsible for the story being "blown out of proportion". In Glasgow, Molly's brother Omar, 21, held his own press conference in which he criticised his mother for claiming that Molly had been kidnapped.
"If anything, my mum is doing the kidnapping, taking my little sister away and not keeping in contact with the family," he said. "My dad is not a mean guy."
Mr Rana, who lives in Manchester, said his mother had left the family home in Blackburn, Lancs, in 2000 after having an affair with her boyfriend, Kenny Campbell.
After that, Molly, Tahmina and their brother Adam went to live in Pakistan. But following his wedding in Manchester last year, his sister went to stay with her mother near Stranraer in Dumfries and Galloway.
She was then taken to Stornoway nine months ago without the family's knowledge.
"We as a family needed Misbah," added Mr Rana. "We needed to know how she felt. I spoke to Misbah in Pakistan and she said 'I'm really happy I'm here'. I asked how it was for her and she said it was really, really hard in Scotland, saying, 'All I did was cry in my room' ."
It is what happens when multiculturalist socialists take over the public schools and teach the students to despise their own culture and to celebrate foreign cultures as superior. The result is a lot of alienated, stupid white women.
I will relate this story. The US Air Force accepts foreign students into a handful of classes. So an associate of mine was the "uncle" over this group of Pakistani Muhammads that came in for a 4-month long class. There were a handful of rules...mostly to ensure when they went off-base...they were in a group and avoid trouble. Mid-way in the class...this one Muhammad character left the group while in the midst of a 3-day weekend. He shows up late on Tuesday morning...offering few if any excuses. Accepted and class continues on. Final week of class comes up...students are getting prepared for the graduation and trip back home...when this one dude asks how he will be getting his wife home. My buddy...the "uncle"...says..."what wife? You're single!"
The Muhammad proudly announces that while he was gone that one weekend...he was visiting this gal from Dallas that answered his ad in the paper. And on that Tuesday morning that he was late...he was marrying her at the county office. My buddy stood there in disbelief, and then had to explain this to the commander who went nuts. At this point...they called the new wife and had her drive over to the AF base. She walked in...blonde, six foot tall, and at least 250 pounds. The rest of the Pakistani dudes went crazy...they wanted a wife like this too. The commander quietly took this naive Texan gal into this office and spent 45 minutes trying to explain what she was getting into. But she had eyes only for Mahammad...declaring he was very respectful and charming...(unlike Texan guys). The commander gave up...contacted the Pakistani consulate...and arranged the visa for her. So the nimwit graduated...got on the plane with Ms. Dallas...and went back to the Stani-land. Its been almost 20 years since that episode. One must sit and wonder what this woman found, and how miserable she is today. I'm betting she left after three or four years...and probably has a totally different appreciation of Texan gentlemen today.
All of these women are in the same category...its the same kind of gal that would date Charles Manson if they had a chance. Its the same kind of gal that would marry up with a FARC guerrilla leader if it was possible. Its the same kind of gal that would worship Kim iL-Sung if North Korea would allow them to fly into the country. Its the same kind of woman that marry K-Fed in a heartbeat and give him millions to squander. What else can I say?
