It's not easy to be shocked by jihad these days, five years and numberless atrocities after the Twin Towers imploded on some 3,000 fellow citizens. That said, I admit my own jihad-fatigue was broken, shattered, really, by the "conversion" to Islam of Fox journalists Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig videotaped during their two-week ordeal as captives of Palestinians in Gaza.

THIS is what shocks the author? There's a ton of other heinous stuff going on with Islamic Fascists.
The conversion was just a trumped up 'goal' so the kidnappers could release their prisioners and save a little face.

You MIGHT want to read the article again. What shocked the author is the very idea which Muslims have said all along does not exist...convert to Islam or DIE. Well, guess what is in our future at the current rate of Islamic expansion into the west. This also seems to remove the feel good media tripe stating this is a religion of PEACE. Islam KNOWS the west is weak at heart, weak in spirit and weak in mind. They can actually get a Christian to convert to Islam to save his own skin. Do you really think a Muslim would do this? We have NO FAITH.
Yet, this story has been ignored by ALL media, as with anything that may make Islam look bad. Like it or not, this is a RELIGIOUS war and the sooner the west gets this, the sooner we can put an end to it before it puts an end to us.
Working to have Muslims reject their own radicals outright is what will see this come under control. Of course words calling for the destruction of an entire religion have an immediate payoff to the ego, but the folks on the frontline making the tough sacrifices have no interest in engaging in genocide, they want to root out the bad guys and retain their sanity.

What you fail to understand, which I do understand (studied Islam for well over 10 years) is there is no such thing as a "radical" Muslim. There are Muslims that do NOT follow their religion to the "T" (they remain silent)and there are those that do. We are fighting the ones that do follow Islam to the "T". The ones that don't follow to the "T", know what happens to those that speak out against those that do follow it to a "T". Mohammad devised this religion as a way to conquer. Period.
You and I will NEVER see Muslims in any significant numbers go against this.
Ok, let's take your view.
Would are you going to enlist to give up their sanity and their soul to do your genocide?
Men like Col. Vail and his people? Just have them wheel around and kill all the Iraqi's they've been working with? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1693975/posts
Would=Who
Sure looks like it to me... and the flippancy in which Centanni talked about his 'forced-conversion' would lead you to believe that it was no big deal for him. That what he had been following as his 'faith'... could be changed just as quickly... as a Hathaway shirt.
Question for Steve: WHEN... does it become a 'big deal'?
Would are you going to enlist to give up their sanity and their soul to do your genocide?

Genocide? Islam is a religion, NOT a race of people. So genocide does NOT apply here.
As for whom to enlist, I suppose men like me.
We MUST, as a society learn from history. Islam rose up several times in the past and there was only 1 way to stop them every time. When the "Hold Hands" crowd appeased them, they fell under Islamic rule EVRY TIME.
History tells us what we are headed for.
Genocide applies. Genocide covers more than just race, it also fits cultural groups, political groups, socities.
Have at it - have a good genocide. Lemme know how that turns out for you.
Man. Please forgive my atrocious spelling.

First of all, having 1 BILLION members of a religion, I seriously doubt killing even 10 million of them could be called Genocide since that would only be 1%. But it sure would get their attention.
If I had to wipe them off the face of the earth to prevent them from wiping me or my family off the face of the earth....then I would do it, with a smile!

Very good question.
I have Muslim relatives, including my own daughter who converted when she married a Muslim man. My own observations are pretty close to yours. The difference seems to be whether the Muslim in question is observant or non-observant. My daughter and son-in-law are nonobservant, but even they still never criticize Muslim violence. They act like it's not happening. I can't even bear to bring it up, because I know they would be mad at ME, not at the evil acts of their co-religionists. I wonder how they can stay in such a religion even on the casual basis they seem to maintain. I honestly don't understand it. I know my daughter converted because of trememdous pressure from her in-laws. I hope she will re-consider at some time, but I have some fears for her safety if she does.
Interesting post. I have a co-worker who is a non-practicing Muslim who was born and raised in the United States. His parents are from Iran and consider themselves Persian rather than Muslim. They are very hesitant to say anything about radical Muslims for fear that they may be hurt or have their personal property vandalized.

I'll certainly say a prayer for her safety.
