You might be right, but if the uncut version is in the "public domain" things get stickier for ABC and the Clintonista to explain. Also, younger people are very good with bittorrent.
Something is always better than nothing, so your point is well-taken, I guess.
But I can't resist pointing out that the Rats and their media enablers are pretty good at handling sticky situations. One method is to attack those who question you.
We often make the mistake of thinking that if our adversaries can't "explain" something to us, it will also look bad to people very, very different from us -- to the typical "average American" boob who sees a censored program and doesn't know or suspect it was censored, let alone that there's a controversy about this.
Steven Spruiell of NRO checked with ABC and the "spokesman" says the miniseries is set to air as-is. Of course, sometimes a "spokesman" is the last to know or admit if something is changing, but as several here have noted it would be amazing if ABC did try to water down or withdraw the broadcasts since the info is already out and reviewers have DVDs, etc.

I followed up on Andy's Corner post this morning by calling ABC, and was told by a spokeswoman that the "Path to 9/11" miniseries is "locked and ready to air," and that she hadn't heard anything about a pressure campaign to reopen the editing process. She said that she would check around and get back to me, but that a lot of people have already left for vacation. I'll post updates if they come, but it looks like "Path" is safe from Clinton mischief for now.
