We just got our power back (fingers crossed) after 39 hours. Not much damage at the house, except we lost a crepe myrtle. Out this morning with the chain saw taking it down.

Haven't read all the postings yet, but we (the region) got hit with mainly flooding. Approx. 10" dropped in Va Beach and Norfolk according to the weather service, and wide-spread power outages. Lots of apartment complexes evacuated due to high water and collapsing storm drains. Frankly, the infrastructure around here could use a lot of overhaul (both power and sewer).

Could have been worse, could have been an hurricane instead of a tropical storm. I hope the politicians learn from this tropical storm and put some serious thought into preparing for a real storm.

Nahh.... [/sarcasm]

Glad you got your power back.........as to the infrastructure.........the Eastern Shore basically has NONE. So 9 inches of rain takes it's toll on folks. That was the last I saw recorded before I lost my last phone line last night.
