live stream of radio show--feedback
pong.
From last night's show, John had a Congressman from Michigan, who supports war on terror, but doesn't like the term Islamic Fascism. Wants "jihad terrorism" or something like that. Seems he has alot of Moslems in his district. I think it is a little late to parse words on what to call this war. Radical Islam, Islamic fascism, jihad terrorism, they all sound OK to me. Did anyone hear that?
Unfortulately I missed last night's show. I was celebrating my birthday.
Is Friday or Monday John's last night?
Mon being Labor day he had worked holidays or maybe a re-run!
Friday is the last day.
I am going to miss it though.

Bump
Bummer man. It's sort of a routine for me to drive home from late night gigs listening to John Batchelor.
I hope he starts up the show again, somewhere.
Keep us informed about it.
I heard Air America is moving (from where I don't know) in NYC to WWRL on Monday. Anyone have more info. Does it matter?
Starting Monday, September 4, 2006, The John Batchelor Show will be on hiatus until further notice, to return probably in late fall of 2006. We extend our warm thanks and appreciation to all the listeners of The John Batchelor Show, without whom we would not have had the luxury of producing the program.
If you'd like more information on the future of The John Batchelor Show, please check this website for further announcements. We look forward with pleasure to resuming again and intend to do so soon enough.

LEFTY NET OFF WLIB
By JOHN MAINELLI
August 3, 2006 --
RADIO
THE liberal Air America radio network is going to be harder to hear in New York.
Next month, it is switching stations - to a weaker AM station, WWRL (1600 AM).
Al Franken and his lefty colleagues are leaving WLIB (1190 AM) apparently because they couldn't come up with enough cash for the owners, former Manhattan Borough President Percy Sutton and his son, Pierre.
Starting Sept. 1, Air America will be on WWRL, at the top of the dial where AM signals are weakest - especially at night, when greater FCC restrictions apply.
As The Post reported last March, the ratings-challenged liberal network failed to renew its two-year lease with the Suttons.
Relations between the Suttons and the network's execs were rocky from the start and only got worse after the network's shaky finances became known and a scandal broke out involving loans to Air America from a Bronx charity.
WLIB's future after Sept. 1 is not known, although radio industry heavyweight Randy Michaels - the builder of 1,200-station Clear Channel - has expressed interest in leasing the station as a base for a new talk-radio network.
Michaels declined comment yesterday and the Suttons didn't return calls.
