A chance encounter....helped cops nab a homeless drug addict now charged with killing an aide to former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani after a gay-sex romp...... Detectives were at a Manhattan employment agency looking for records on the suspect, Edwin Ramos, 26, when Ramos - who hadn't worked there in about a month - showed up.....to collect back pay.
Ramos, a drifter with a long history of drug arrests, made a call using a cellphone that belonged to Martin Barreto, 49, who had worked in the City Hall press office during the Giuliani administration.
Barreto's nude body was found Aug. 21 in the bedroom of the Greenwich Village apartment he shared with a cousin......the suspect stole Barreto's phone, computer, keys and some clothes - then sold the phone and laptop to buy drugs.
Cops said Ramos made statements implicating himself in the murder. "He said he met the guy while walking on the street.....They engaged in a conversation and then he was invited up." The body of the gay exec was discovered in his bed with lubricant and a condom next to him, officials said.

Having an aide who is gay is high crime, it would seem.
Lotsa versimilitude there, for sure. Cross dressing.....and Giuliani has lots of connections to foreigners. Read this:

FBI Tracked Alleged Russian Mob Ties of Giuliani Campaign Supporter
By Knut Royce, The Center for Public Integrity
WASHINGTON, December 14, 1999 The Center for Public Integrity is investigating how billions of dollars of allegedly corrupted money from the former Soviet Union have found a haven in the United States, despite strict anti-laundering laws. Last month, the Center reported how a small San Francisco bank became a conduit for questionable funds as it, like many other banks around the country, aggressively pursued the cash from the former Soviet Bloc.
Today the Center reports on how political campaigns, also aggressively chasing after cash, end up with equally questionable contributions as suspected Russian organized crime figures seek to move into the U.S. political mainstream In future articles, the Center will show how the failure to sift the good money from bad is being replayed all over America.
A prominent commodities trader who acknowledges a business history with a reputed Soviet Bloc crime figure and a notorious arms dealer has been one of (then) New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's top campaign supporters. Giuliani is expected to be the Republican candidate next year for a U.S. Senate seat from New York.
Commodities trader Semyon (Sam) Kislin and his family also lavished thousands of dollars in contributions to Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer, to the Clinton-Gore re-election campaign, to former Republican Sen. Alfonse D'Amato and to a number of state and city politicians. Kislin sits on the New York City Economic Development Board. ---SNIP--

IIRC, he lip synched the song "New York, New York" to the Liza Manelli recording. She also was not a fan of his.
We slay dragons. We kill or murder people.
It doesn't matter if the victim was gay. It's a murder or a killing, not a "slaying."
Homosexuals are people. They are not dragons. We don't need a special word for when they are killed.
Shalom.
Me thinks he forgot the /s tag.
LOL.......did I need the sarcasm tag!
Well obviously he had papers he got caught using stolen phone in an attempt to collect back wages. The 'law' means whatever those who sit in the seat of 'law' say it means.
Well, the stupid "remark" cost him, but the stupid handling of the remark cost him much more.
Had he said, "Hey, my oponent sent someone who was as easy to spot as if he'd been wearing a clown costume to my campaign event and I spotted him. What was I supposed to call him, the love of my life?
The name wasn't a racial slur, profanity, or obscenity, so move on."
Instead he gave several botched apologies. It's the handling that made people wonder if he was up for high office, IMHO.
Shalom.
Cute.
I think Roccus wore the dress at his party.
Short of combat, there's nothing like politics to show who's got 'em and who don't!
I know, I know. But hey----gimme credit for trying.
That's IT!
Now I'm branded for life as a cross dresser!
You erect buildings, build bridges and lay highways all your life, but wear a dress just ONE time, and.......
Actually, not all of us do (even in the New York City-area).
Here we go again with the Rudy-bashing......
Do you people follow him around all the time just to see what he does????
BTW, at no time did I say they were friends. Just that an association could be construed as such. Much as you have.
Sob----the killer's just a "victim" of those dang homophobes.
