Of course he is. He ran against Jeb Bush for Governor. He's very well known as a Democrat.

Oh wait, you mean the ambulance-chaser in the Republican primary? That's a different McBride. He can't possibly be well-known in political circles; he's never held elected office.

Perhaps this one wants people to confuse him with the other one. I don't know why, though. The other one lost.

There are many, many people involved in politics, well known in political circles, who have never held office. Many who never will hold office. Many who will go on to hold office.

I'm sure a few thousand FReepers fit that description.
