If a thoughful Islamist reflected upon the kind of person he had become in order to engage in Jihad against the Unbeliever, shouldn't he recognize the evil in the deeds that his religion requires him to perform?

And if he fails to recognize this evil, what does that say about the Islamist ability to recognize good and evil?
