The dems would have a tougher battle against Tom Gallagher because Gallagher's campaign staff and volunteers consist of Jeb Bush's key people.
Crist got only one Jeb team member in his campaign structure - Karen Unger and she wasn't the top. She was middle-mgmt. For all we know, she's for Crist because he took her out to dinner.
Yes, it is that shallow sometimes.
On the issues, Gallagher knows what he's doing.
It was all I could do to keep from laughing at Crist running spots on talk radio to tell the voters of Florida how all the newspapers endorse him.
Why does he think people listen to talk radio in the first place? (rolling eyes)
The dems are playing divide and conquer.

On what do you base this opinion?
"Buzz has tried to confirm the buy with FTIG. But the committee, which got a big chunk of its funding courtesy of a group set up by Virginia Republican operative Christopher LaCivita of anti-Kerry Swift Boat ad fame, isn't returning our calls."
That really isn't much of an audience.
There are no "countless thousand" of listeners....he's lucky if he has a thousand listeners statewide. Not saying there's anything wrong with his program....it just, seriously, lacks listeners.
Guess what capt. norm? People in N. Florida don't even know who Charlie Crist is. Go ahead and ponder about Dobson's radio program and get lost in minor details.
On what do you base this opinion?
"People in N. Florida don't even know who Charlie Crist is."
My reply was in discussion of Dr. Dobson and it was the article posted about him that gets lost in details that mean zero.
His program, locally, has never come up with even one listener in local ratings (taken 4 times a year for 17 years). You think they would have found at least one by now, but instead the surveys show "...." where his ratings number would be.
Come Tuesday, we will all see just how much he influences the Florida vote.
You'd better have your fun before then 'cause you're not gonna' like the results and you comments here may come back to haunt you.
I'm not a Crist fan by I am disgusted at Gallagher for what he did to Jeb Bush when he ran against him for governor. Totally uncalled for, but it showed what Gallagher ' made out of. He's a James Carville wannabe and he showed it, big time.
I will go with Dobson over hollywood elitist picks any day of the week!

WhirledNutzDaily and Joseph Farah influence even fewer people than Dobson, for pete's sake.
It seems to me that you have fallen prey to the fallacy that says that because you believe something, it must be commonly believed by most people.
Come Tuesday, I believe you'll discover that you are incorrect in that belief.
Here's a working link:

No I don't and I don't really know anyone who does.
Very few people I know, even go to conservative websites, including this one, so you're not talking about very many Florida voters.
Come Tuesday night, you'll be trying to figure out what went wrong. In the meantime you might do well to follow that old slogan: "When you find yourself in a hole....stop digging".
You're correct in your assesment. I figure that donors to Free Republic are a pretty good guide to the numbers of folks who take FR seriously enough to be strongly influenced.
From Florida in the last Freepathon, 109 individual donors and 40 monthly donors were counted.
Then why are you acting like Dodson's endorsement should put him over the top?
Can't you decide yourself, or do you need "affirmation" of your own principles from somebody like Dodson?
By the way, I did go to the link and read Farah's article there.
You know, very few people are still obsessing about Terri Schiavo. That's over, you see. It's not the only issue in this campaign, and will not determine the winner.
Voters need more than one issue to decide who gets their vote. The constant harping on the Terri issue does nothing to help a candidate. Indeed, for a lot of people, even those who wanted Terri to be kept alive, the obsession with Schiavo ends up being a negative influence on their vote.
It's something to consider.
