Josh Bolten, chief of staff to the president, is like that guy who grew up small-town and stayed small-town...Bolten's live-in girlfriend, Dede McClure
calls him "the nation's number one government wonk." Their politics are different. McClure has been a registered Democrat for years, though she now considers herself an independent. She recalls that in the summer of '72, after Bolten graduated from high school, she and Abraham were handing out George McGovern pamphlets while Bolten headed to Miami for the Republican convention

So what?
Rino wonderland I guess??
what is up with that title. It is not like that on the site you mentioned?
I think this is more information than what we need.....
What kind of irrelevent horseshit is this? Can they stoop any lower?
Distorted title (Poster editorializing a bit?)
Dude's getting some from his girlfriend. Thanks for the breaking news.
Jeez that was a long article full of absoloutely nothing.
Some freaky liberal that Bolton used to bonk doesn't like him. Oh dear, what ever will we do?
LOL, you must be kidding...the Compost now has to go back to 1972 to find something to trash the administration over? I suppose this is their embarrassing attempt to supress the Christian conservative vote in November. LMAO!
Why is it Clinton's sexual escapades as president were his "private life" according to the MSM asshats, but Josh Bolten's living arrangements 34 years ago are fair game?? And who the hell said Josh Bolton is a social conservative?? I've got news for the simpletons at the Compost. There are many different movements within the conservative movement and not all of us are necessarily "social conservatives." And if we are, that doesn't preclude us from having repented of a former lifestyle to now espousing a better more morally healthy one as a social conservative now.
My gosh the MSM is pathetically desperate. They lost Plamegate this week so their only response is to dig up something as lame as this. Talk about morally and intellectually bankrupt.
Maybe the Compost should have used this print space to apologize for how they trashed the White House over Plame for years now and it all turned out to have had little to do with anyone at the White House. Or maybe they could even report the Armitage story period since I'm guessing they've ignored! There's a novel idea!
All they're trying to do is TRASH Republican candidates in ways that would STOP conservatives from voting for them.
There is NO low that will stop a LIBERAL. Their politics is always the same, EXTREME, LYING and just plain gutter politics to get their way. Yet they don't hold themselves to the SAME LOFTY STANDARDS.
Sheez. This is like the "Josh" in West Wing. Live in lib girlfriend and all.
Kind of dampens my view of the Bush White House to know that this guy who doesn't have the honor and decency to marry his "live-in" is running the show.
You say so what? Shacking up is a huge problem in America, sign of family breakdown, along with children born of wedlock. Big cause of poverty. Also known as living in sin and banned in Bible as fornication.
President is a Christian conservative. For his most powerful aide to be shacking up sends a bad mesage to those many Americans who care about strong families and marriage.
The real title is Sideman, but I just elaborated a little bit. :-)
To L98Fiero --
To conservative Christians, a key part of the President's base, this is a big deal. For those who worry about skyrocketing illegitimacy in poor neighborhoods, Bolten is not a good role model.
It is valuable information for Christian conservatives, if not libertines. We now know the President's most powerful staffer is living in sin while the President talks about the need for strong families and traditional values. The staffer is setting a bad example, just like Clinton set a bad example with Monica.
He's shacking up now, according to the article. He's one of the most high profile Republicans in Washington, working for the party of family values, and he's shacking up.
And what precisely is wrong with Republicans screwing Democrats? I thought that was the entire point of the political game.
