That's what crossed my mind too. If it can be removed from the hinges, it's not very secure, now is it?

More than likely the hinge pins/hinges are exposed on the cockpit side for removal.

Pretty much all doors can be removed from the hinges. Now if the hinges are on the outside............that would be a problem.

I find comfort in the knowledge that behind every removable cockpit door is a copilot armed with the crash ax and the will to use it.
