You two state -
In unusually explicit terms, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld portrayed the administrations critics as suffering from moral or intellectual confusion about what threatens the nations security, accusing them of lacking the courage to fight back. He alluded to critics of war policies in terms associated with the failure to stop Nazism in the 1930s.
Is Rumsfeld right? If you criticize the war, are you morally confused? Why do you think hes using terms like fascism and bringing Hitler into the conversation? Is this a scare tactic or just a realistic view of the world? Will this help the Republicans in the fall election?
Rep. Dingel, during a debate, will not label Hezbulloh as a terrorist organization.
Al Sharpton refers to the President as a gang leader.
Senator Richard Durbin compares our service men and women in Gitmo to the Waffen SS and the Communists who ran Death Camps and the Soviet Gulag.
Cindy Sheehan calls President Bush a bastard and praises Hugo Chavez.
Michael Moore refers to the terrorists in Iraq as Freedom Fighters and compares them to Americans fighting for Independence when our nation was formed.
Bill Maher says those who flew the planes into the WTC and Pentagon were braver than our military pilots, who only drop bombs from 30,000 feet up.
Many leftist critics of the war compare President Bush to Hitler.
Do you want me to continue?
In the 1930's, the Nazis - under the real Adolf Hitler - ignored the ban on weapons and the restrictions placed on their military after WW I, building tanks, battleships, fighter and bomber planes. The Japanese walk out of the Leage of Nations. During the 1990's, Saddam bribes members of the UN Security Council - oil for food.
In writing Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler stated what he was going to do to the Jews. During his speeches in the 30's, he continued stating the woe of all mankind were the Jews. The current president of Iran states the same thing, plus denies the Holocaust and announces he plans on destroying all of Israel.
During the Spanish Civil War of 1936, Nazi Germany sided with Franco and used his military as preparations for his conquest of Europe. Just recently, Iran and Syria uses Hezbulloh and Hamas in attacking Israel.
During the 30's, the Western Powers appeased Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, allowing these two rogue nations to acquire power and weapons while they "talked."
I could go on but I think you get the picture. And you have the nerve to ask if Secretary Rumsfeld is correct! You two need to break open a history text.
Of course, she fails to mention that in World War II, the party out of power (Republicans), the Courts, and the media were on our side.
Hitler and Tojo would have loved to have had this group of Democrat morons around during that war. I can imagine them now:
"The President has no exit strategy other than unconditional surrender. He should have the Germans and Japs talk with the international community."
"Thousands are dying on worthless little islands and we are still nowhere near the guy who planned Pearl Harbor."
"We should pull back to some bases over the horizon and go back to Tarawa and Luzon and Okinawa if the Japs don't behave."
Geeesh, what traitorous morons.
My History may messed up but did't it take four years to beat the nazi's we have only been in iraq for three?
