He may be able to hoodwink some Republicans, but come election day most conservatives will not vote for Rudy.

Rudy is a visceral liberal----but he also knows he needs social conservatives to make a decent primary showing----or else he's toast.

Now Rudy's in a tizzy----trying try to change his liberals stripes, hoping to co-opt social conservatives into voting for him.

But the comments of his supporters speak louder than Rudy's politicking.

The contempt they show conservatives and the disparagement of social conservative issues are an indication that Rudy will co-opt conservatives into letting them think he is one of them, but if by some perverted twist of fate he gets near the WH, these are the people he will surrpund himself with----conservatives will be thrown off the lifeboat.

One of Rudy's ding-a-lings has already suggested conservatives are expected to pack up and leave the Repub party if he wins.

Rudy shows his political stupidity by failing to see these people are his biggest liability. Letting his promoters out of their cages to attack social conservatives is not very smart.

Religious conservatives constitute about 25% of the GOP`s voter base. I'd say theres another 25% who consider themselves social conservatives and are in the camp of voters who are pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, anti-homo agenda and oppose open borders and amnesty. I can't see how Giulaini turns himself into a Reagan Republican overnight and appeals to all these "social cosnervatives".

I think if the hardcore fiscal conservatives were to look at Giulaini's governing record as mayor of liberal NYCity, they'd see that while Rudy had some success halting the advance of far out socialism in his first term, his second term was a different story. Rudy left NYCity with a $2-billion dificit and a $42-billion debt. Conservatives need to get all the facts on Giuliani before they jump on his liberal bandwagon.
