It's had to take seriously an article which misnames its main topic "SIPRI" rather than the correct name "SIPRnet", and which also uses the wrong formal name to describe the acronym: "separate Internet" rather than the correct "Secure Internet Protocol Router Network".
However it is true that a lot of logistics data does run across the unclassified and (relatively) unsecured NIPRnet, makes use of standard Internet resources.
