I'm likewise from Kansas City, and have been involved with those who know what is happening. The president and others have as their goal the creation of one country, which will include Mexico, Canada and the United States. The goal is not to keep Mexicans in Mexico, but to erase the borders.

I find it difficult to imagine a less effective, in terms of cost, casualties, etc., means of terrorist attack. I wish they were that stupid.

This sounds like a consult's dream project...all dollars and being studied (more dollars) until the next ice age.

I don't trust direct democracy, either. Just think about the last Palestinian elections, for example, where Hamas won the Parliament. However, democracy must have some importance in our system of government. Why else would we have a Congress and state legislatures that can get things done by democratic votes?

Your assumption is incorrect, as is your earlier reference to my reference to groups with websites. My arguments has to do with being open with the public, not about the form of government.

My statements meant what they said, that government should be in the open, and people have a right to know what is affecting their lives without having to force the government to disgorge the information.

A representative form of government, like any form of government, will not function if it does not have the support of the people. It cannot expect the support of the people if the people are not honestly and in a timely fashion informed of the administration of their affairs.

If the idea is so wonderful, the public would support it. If it is not supported, then maybe the public feels that in the marketplace of ideas, this idea isn't the best alternative.

There is much to be said for the collective wisdom of the community, and our founding fathers relied on the responsible involvement of the public to assure that the government was forever free.

I again ask, why are you supporting a secretive process? What is your stake in this?

Those that support the secretive process are either fifth columnist opportunists, or the mind-numbed, head in the sand, sheeple, with no clue to what they're doing, let alone whats going on under their noses. Geeez! Wake up America!

I'm reminded of the constant debate in this country over the rights of a minority party (currently the Democrats) in Congress. Seeing that Rep. Paul is about "minority" party as he can get, I do not expect him chairing any hearings soon.

How can it be secret when everybody knows about it?

BS.

I recall that you presented yourself as a demolition expert on another thread, and then was busted for presenting bogus 'expert' info by someone who actually is involved with demolitions. Who exactly are you 'involved' with that 'knows what is happening'?

My statements meant what they said, that government should be in the open, and people have a right to know what is affecting their lives without having to force the government to disgorge the information.

There has been more than 150 public meetings this year in Texas about TTC-35 (Laredo-Gainesville, TX.) I can't help you with the other states, since none of them are anywhere near the stage of planning where they would begin the massive and multi-year environmental review and hearing process required by the Feds for every major road project. Maybe because despite how World Nut Daily and the gullible kooks portray it, this isn't a single grand project but actually just a CONCEPT that some groups are suggesting that would piggyback on some existing and some planned projects. The Trans-Texas Corridor is an independent project that TXDOT is pursuing to meet traffic needs in Texas. If this is some big conspiracy to primarily create a Mexico-North Pole highway, why is it that only the San Antonio-Dallas portion is planned to open in 2015, while the connections north to Oklahoma and south to Laredo aren't planned to be built until at least 2025? And unlike how the kooks portray it, no new border crossings are a part of the TTC-35 project, the road eventually will extend to Laredo, not into Mexico.

Was in Walmart yesterday, and noticed that some of the TV dinners they sell include Mexican food. I'm suprised that Corsi hasn't yet added this to his 'proof' of a grand secret scheme, since everything else that is 6 degrees of Mexico has been presented as an evil element of such.

Attended by more than 17,000 citizens who have categorically opposed the project.

A comment of yours from yesterday. Nader couldn't have done better if he wrote it himself:

The evil plan is to make the US just another 'state' in a superstate whose government is a fascist supranational council. By fascist, I mean the 'public/private partnerships now being established by our out of control federal government, will become the agencies of power,as they are demonstrating by the open borders and the NAFTA corridor despite citizen opposition, and US citizens will NO LONGER HAVE SELF GOVERNMENT and a sovereign nation.
